Television Ads - All a television ad is ment to do is interrupt you from watching what is on tv for a brief period of time. This type of marketing is very complex and very hard to pull off because your commercials has to strike an emotion, be rememberable, must tell the viewer what service the company provides, make sure you advertise on the right channel at the right time, has to showcase the logo long enough to create brand awareness, showcase the address, phone number and a way to contact the company and accomplish all this under 30 seconds. If you meet all these guidelines then you may have a good ad, unless the user has TIVO, or some other type of recording device which allows them to fast foward through commercials.
Radio Ads - Radio ads are interruption based marketing just like television ad however, radio ads also have to contend with the fact that listeners are doing something else when they are listending. The radio is typically played in the car or at work, when the listener is driving or working. Your radio ad must have to overcome these obstacles and must address all the same issues of the television ads to be sucessful.
Billboards/Print - Billboards are often the most dangerous form of of advertising because it requires that your audience takes their eyes off the road to view. Things that might effect this form of advertising are: Driver Road Rage
